River Front Blues fest.

Hey gang, This weekend in Wilmington De. is the River Front Blues Fest. Looks like a good one to see for the blues harp players. There are alot of good harp players this year. Charlie Musselwhite, Billy branch, Gary Alligretto. Some of the local bands have great harp players as well. The Rodger Gert band ( 2009 IBC finalist) has a good harp player. Also playing is Walter Trout, And finishing Sunday nite Delbert McClinton. I,m looking foward to this one. Sat nite after the fest. there is a blues jam with Billy Branch. Cost to get in on it but I think It's worth it to be able to jam with one of the old timers. Hope some of you can make it. Pastor Harmonica. ( if your coming P.M. me we will meet up) :P

Sounds like a good time PH. I'll try to be there. Not really
Walter Trout will be in the area the end of this month and we will try to see him then. Robert Cray also.

Have fun.

I've been to that festival a few times. I remember when it started as a blues and microbrew festival some time in the 90s. With admission, you would get a little sample glass and you could try as much beer from the breweries there as you wanted. I think that was the first time I had Dogfish Head Ale, which has gotten pretty popular on the east coast.

I won't be there this time (local gigs Friday and Saturday) but it's one I should get back to. I would love to play that festival some time. Diamond State told us they want to eventually book us, but we haven't heard from them about any gigs yet.

My friend Stacy Brooks will be performing at the after party, I think with Lonnie Shields.
