Resonator for fingerpicking

Postby hentvei » Fri Oct 12, 2012 1:10 am

I'm looking to get my hands on a resonator in the very near future. I have never played any slide, but I'll probably explore it at some point. However, fingerpicking will be my main purpose.

My budget is maximum $800. I've more or less narroved it down to three models; The Recording King RM-991(tricone), Republic Classic Biscuit Cone Style # 501(single cone) and the Dean Hairloom (single cone).

I have quick fingers and I usually play in open G tuning using a thumb pick. Does anyone have experiences with any of these models or similar? Any recommendations?
